Why our Artisan’s Directory?

Apart from being a free way of gaining exposure for your product, you are creating an online presence which will help your name circulate through the search engines to get your product noticed by local & international buyers. The more notice you get, the more opportunity for business you get. Additionally, you are able to provide viewers with a blurb about your product, a picture of your work, email & telephone contacts, a street location if you are a brick and mortar store as well as any online websites & or Social Media.

Email Address

We recommend you using a business email address or a dedicated gmail address specifically for your business to avoid spammers loading you up with junk mail.

What’s a Blurb?

It’s a short, concise write up about the product you are selling. It is recommended that you write in short sentences and in a conversational tone. 

Who is This Directory For?

If you are a designer or artisan it’s for you to showcase your work. This directory does not allow affiliate marketing or showcasing work not belonging to you, the designer. Anyone found doing so will be removed from the site.

What are Your Photograph Requirements?

Your photographs should be submitted in Jpeg, Jpg format at a minimum resolution of 72 dpi’s. But if that is a foreign language to you send us the photo (admin@paintwithtexture.com) and we will see if it is workable. We accept clear photographs which shows the consumer a fair representation of your work (Avoid top looking down photos; eye level frontal shots are more flattering to your product. Photos should not have a busy background or hanging from a closet door on a hanger. Click on the link for quick tips on taking professional product photos.

Which Category do I select?

We recommend that you choose the category that represents your main product. The photograph you submit should reflect your category.

How many Categories Can I Submit In?

You can submit a listing in as many categories as you like; however only the first listing is free.

So What’s the Cost?

At this time the first listing in our directory is absolutely free! All following submissions to other categories are a one time fee of $10.00. To change or update information on your listing incurs a $5.00 per change.

How Do I Pay for the Additional Services?

A secure PayPal invoice will be emailed to you. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account for this transaction.

Is Placement Automatic?

We review each submission for placement. Our standards must reflect excellence. We reserve the right to accept or decline submissions to our site without explanation. If you don’t make it on your first try, we recommend you working to refine your product and then trying again. We believe the consumer will probably be a lot more picky than we are.

What Products Can I Showcase?

You can showcase handbags, painted or embellished garments and embellished footwear.

What Language Can I Use?

We accept the English language at this time. It is important to write in standard English. Be brief and clear in what you have to say; your buyer may not understand a dialect. PWT reserves the right to edit blurbs for proper grammar and flow.

How Do I Get Paid for My Product?

That is entirely up to you. PWT is not involved in your financial transactions and will not be held liable for any transaction made between you or your buyer. If however, PWT is advised of questionable business activities regarding your customer relations, we will remove you from our site.

How Can I Get Started?

Complete the form below and email a photo or two of your best work. We will take a look at your information. If your product meets the following requirements below then you will be added to our Artisan’s Directory.

  • Your form must be properly filled out
  • The product must be your design and creation (this does not mean you have actually sewn it yourself).
  • Your product must be appealing to the eye
  • Your product must be first quality workmanship
  • Your website must be your own and not an affiliate

This site is operated by humans not robots and is offering a  service. We respond very well to courteous communication. We reserve the right to ignore and delete ungracious chatter.

How Will I know if My Work is Accepted?

We will let you know by email.
