My story…
I’m the designer behind the Teri Monique Handbags line.
I’m also a professional Textile Artist and I have been creating and selling thousands of wearable art designs ranging from ladies painted clothing to the fabulous Teri Monique handbags and shoes!
I’m a self-taught artist. I love colors and textures and creating fabulous ‘one-of-a-kind’ clothing, purses and handbags. The fact is I have over two decades of loving the work I do!
About 23 years ago I became a little bored with my profession as an interior designer. I decided to try my hand at painting on tee shirts. I had no real knowledge of how to make money selling my painted clothing. I had no knowledge of what materials I should use or where I should buy them.
So, I bought men’s cheap undershirts and artists paint (the wrong kind). I painted up a batch and went knocking on any shop that would let me in. That’s when I encountered a store owner (a lady) who was terribly blunt.
She clearly stated that everything was wrong about my cheesy tee shirts, my hard paints and my designs. After the initial shock, I took to heart her harsh comments and was determined not give up; I decided to find a better way to create beautiful designs and to find out what I needed to know to paint with texture the right way!
In less than 2 years, my painted garments were a HIT!!
My sales skyrocketed! I opened a store manufacturing and painting my own line of wearable art clothing for ladies. Thousands of garments & handbags later, and confident of my simple techniques, I’d like to share my trade secrets with you…

Thanks much. No experience required for the classes. Just register with BAIC, get your supplies and come on over.You’ll be painting by the end of your first class. I think you’ll have fun learning these easy techniques. In fact you’ll probably want to apply it to everything you come in contact with.

I just wanted to say thanks for imparting your wealth of knowledge by teaching the BAIC class. It has changed my life! I have been painting almost everyday since class ended.
I have been approached by store vendors who wish to carry my new line (lol). Its amazing what the mind can achieve once you are open and think outside the box. I just want to paint everything I can get my hands on…leaves, wood, fabric, oh my goodness….its an amazing creative rush!!!

If you’re using Google you may want to try Firefox or another. For some reason this has made a difference with others signing up. Let me know how it goes.
Hi Teri, how are you ? I have been trying to get in a class for a long time . I need to know when the next class is at BAIC or otherwise i was unable to sign online also . Thank you so much and blessings to you as well. For some reason some folks are having difficulty signing up with their browser. I would suggest you switching just for signing up and then you can go back to your regular browser if you wish. I use several when logging on to other sites also.
So if you are using internet explorer, try Google chrome or Firefox or another. It seems random but it makes a difference on some computers. If you are in Nassau, you can sign up at Chevy’s for access to the same video tutorials. If you have any questions plz contact me at teri@paintwithtexture.com.
